Welcome to my North Country Trail 100 mile Challenge! Here I’ll be documenting my journey on hiking 100 miles of the NCT.

The North Country Trail is the nations longest scenic trail at 4,600 miles. It runs through 8 states: North Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan (both peninsulas), Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, and Vermont. You can learn more about the trail here.

Old US-131 State Campground Trailhead

This trail walked along the Manistee River, and through the state forest.

We hiked 1.9 miles, just walking out and back, hiking NE from the campground toward US-131.

This was a beautiful and quiet forested hike. Minimal elevation change. It was fun to hike over a few bridges and boardwalks.
