Bier’s Inwood Brewery – Charlevoix
Just outside the quaint town of Charlevoix up on a hill sits Bier’s Brewery. A place to enjoy one of their many delicious drinks. Beer, cider, wine, and even kombucha are available! Sip your drink of choice outside around bonfires or in one of their greenhouses outdoors to protect yourself from the winter elements. Greenhouses are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Hop Lot – Sutton’s Bay *A MUST-VISIT place for Igloo Drinking in Traverse City*
The ultimate Northern Michigan outdoor brewery! This is THE place for igloo drinking in Traverse City. Just 20 minutes north of downtown TC, up M-22 you can enjoy beer, wine, ciders, and locally made pop outside at picnic tables or around a bonfire. Make sure to reserve a a heated igloo to enjoy with up to 6 people! (Reservations can be made up to two-weeks in advance!) Indoor seating is available as well on a first-come first-serve basis.
This is the perfect place for groups, families, anyone! For kids (and adults) you can purchase s’more kits to make around the bonfires. Various entrees and apps can be ordered and picked up at the outside window!

St. Ambrose Cellars – Beulah
One of the coolest locations for outdoor drinking you can enjoy wine, beer, mead, ciders, and locally made pop, outdoors around fire pits or in one of your own private igloos that can fit up to 8 people! Indoor dining is available as well on a first-come first-serve basis.
St. Ambrose hours: Mon-Sat 12PM – 10PM | Sun 12PM – 7PM

45 North Winery
A must-visit for those who love white wines! There is so much to do here at 45 North in the winter time, with 3 miles of trails for fat-tire biking, snowshoeing, or cross-country skiing. Warm up back at the winery around their HUGE bonfire pit, or sit at a table in their insulated and heated outdoor deck!

Bower’s Harbor – Old Mission Peninsula
Grab a glass or a flight and head to their screened in, heated patio where you can cozy up while still enjoying a view of the vineyards! Bower’s Harbor not only has a large variety of wines but many ciders as well!

Brys Estate – Old Mission Peninsula
Head to Brys Estate for tons of winter fun. Whether you’re looking to cross-country ski, snow shoe or hike their trails, cozy up outside around a fire pit with hot spiked apple cider, or you prefer to do a tasting inside, there’s something for everyone here!

Glen Arbor Wines – Glen Arbor
A quaint, wonderful, family owned winery in Glen Arbor this is one of my favorites! Enjoy a glass on their screened in porch complete with heaters! Or stay cozy inside at the bar or a table.
PROTIP: the pinot grigio is the BEST

Good Harbor – Lake Leelanau
Nestled just off of M22 you can curl up in an igloo and enjoy glasses or flights! Or you can head inside for a tasting at the bar, or enjoy glasses at a table in the warmth.

Left Foot Charley – Grand Traverse Commons
Cozy up outside on their patio next to a fire pit and sip on a wine or cider (cinnamon girl is my absolute favorite cider, ever)! They also have indoor seating available if the weather is too much!

Enthaology – Elk Rapids *A MUST-VISIT place for igloo drinking in Traverse City*
If you’re a fan of Gin, Vodka, Mel, or Whiskey, or just enjoy a delicious craft cocktail, then Enthaology is the place for you! Reserve a SUPER cozy yurt (heated by a wood stove) and cozy up with friends playing games and enjoying delicious one-of-kind cocktails from liquor distilled in Northern Michigan.

The Little Fleet – Traverse City
While strolling through downtown Traverse City stop in a grab a craft cocktail and warm up by the fire pits outside! During the warmer months, Little Fleet is the host to many delicious food truck, but in the winter months Happy’s Tacos fuels your hunger here and there’s a full bar with various craft cocktails!

Traverse City Whiskey – Traverse City
Visit the Stillhouse just south of downtown Traverse City and sip on a tasting, or enjoy a craft beverage in their heated tent! With seasonal menus there’s always something new to try!

Iron Fish Distillery – Thompsonville
Head on over to Basecamp! Reserve a tent for a unique dining experience for 90 minutes or for a more casual 30 minute experience. Note that reservation fees do apply and there are food/beverage minimums.
