Chateau Fontaine is a winery on Leelanau Peninsula, they are a family owned business who started growing their grapes in 1987.

The wine featured today is their

Big Paw Red

This is an everyday red blend, and as someone who is just getting into red wines, this couldn’t be a better one to start with. It is very fruity, not super dry, but also not too sweet and pairs with just about everything. Whether you are having a steak or pasta for dinner, or snacking on some popcorn you can also relax with this delicious red.

This wine has won Best in Class and at only $12 a bottle, it is one you can’t go wrong with. You can ship, or curb-side pick up your wine. For 6-11 bottles of wine they are offering $10 flat rate shipping, and if you buy 12+ bottles, shipping is just ONE PENNY!

Chateau Fontaine also has a YouTube channel where they are talking about wine tasting, and educating on different wines, check it out here!

I enjoyed this red out on our deck since Northern Michigan has been getting some 50 degree whether (bring out the shorts right?!) My partner grilled steak and I made some broccoli, and mashed potatoes which paired wonderfully with Big Paw Red.

Let me know in the comments or on Instagram if you have a favorite wine from Chateau Fontaine, or any other Michigan Wineries you would like me feature! Stay safe and stay inside!
