Quar-wine-tine Time | Left Foot Charley

Welcome! To Quar-wine-tine Time, your weekly wine tasting session, from indoors! I’ll be trying various wines, ciders, and beers all from Michigan, all that can be available via curb-side pickup, found in your local grocery store, or shipped.

Today feature is…

Left Foot Charley

Left Foot Charley is a winery in Traverse City, located behind the Grand Traverse Commons (yup, the old asylum). They began operating in 2004.

The cider featured today is their

Cinnamon Girl

This is one of those ciders you reach for again and again. Crisp, bright, and refreshing. It is made from a combination of two apples, picked from Old Mission Peninsula and then steeped with cinnamon sticks for four to six weeks (YUM!).

This cider is one of my favorites, no matter the season. You can grab a 1/2L for $8. You can ship, or curb-side pick up your cider. For 3+ bottles of any of their wine or cider is $10 flat rate shipping!

Left Foot Charley also has been posting IGTV videos just checking in! Most of with owner Bryan, others are quite funny. Check them out on their Instagram (@leftfootcharley) here.

I enjoyed this cider while having a Houseparty Happy Hour, using the Houseparty app, check it out here. This app is free to download and use. It is a great way to stay connected with family and friends during this difficult time.

Let me know in the comments or on Instagram if you have a favorite cider or wine from Left Foot Charley, or any other Michigan wineries, cideries, or breweries you would like me feature! Stay safe and stay inside!
