Sometimes it can be difficult to find that perfect fitting pair of pants, whether you’re out on the town or you’re hitting the trails. Time and time again, hiking pants have been too long, too tight, pockets don’t zip, the fabric isn’t stretchy enough, or it’s too stretchy. Finally, I’ve found a pair of hiking pants that checks every single one of my boxes. The FreeFlex Dash KÜHL Hiking Pants are at the top of my list for outstanding hiking pants for women.

The Material
The FreeFlex Dash hiking pants for women are lightweight, water-repellent, and made with a soft and stretchy fabric. This is perfect because the the pants felt fitted, without being tight or pinching at my thighs and hips, a problem I often face when trying to find hiking pants for women. As someone with more of a “pear-shaped” and athletic build body, these pants fit my body type perfectly.

The Comfortability
With the moisture wicking, soft, stretchy fabric I feel comfortable each time I hike in these pants! You have UPF 50+ sun protection, and they’re still lightweight enough to wear in warmer climate. Or, if you’re in a chillier area, like myself, I found no issues laying a base layer tight underneath. I’ve had problems in the past when layering base layers under women’s hiking pants. Suddenly the hiking pant that fit me perfectly, became tight and uncomfortable. I have had no issues wearing base layers under the FreeFlex Dash pants.
These pants come as a straight leg, BUT an amazing feature they have is that the ankle cinches to become a jogger. So whether you want a straight leg hiking pant, or a tight and tapered jogger, you have the best of both words with the FreeFlex Dash KÜHL hiking pants.

The Secure Storage
These pants have two front pockets, two back pockets, and all four have zippers! This is by far one of the best features. As an outdoor recreation enthusiast, keeping my belongings safe and secure is so important. Too many times have I come close to losing something because it almost falls out of my pocket, or I have to inconveniently store something in my pack so it’s in a zippered pouch.
Additionally, there are two phone-slip pockets located on the side of each thigh that contour to fit my phone perfectly for easy and safe access.
