3 Days in San Francisco

I have not been to California in YEARS, so when I got the opportunity to go over for a quick weekend I was so excited! I flew in Friday morning and flew out Sunday night on a red-eye; here’s what I did for the three days I was there.

Coffee Shops

If you know me at all, at the very least through this website, I love coffee. I have a whole tab on this site for all the great coffee places I come across. So checking out what San Francisco had was a must.

I went to Blue Bottle, which is a San Francisco native chain. Cute, quaint, and great coffee. If you’re into sweet cold brews try the New Orleans (I added almond milk).

The next coffee shop I visited was Sightglass. Super hip, super big coffee shop. Their iced vanilla latte with oat milk was to die for.

I also visited Joe & The Juice, which is a juice and coffee shop. Super duper cute and hip inside and they had an incredible large menu for juice, coffee, and food!

Golden Gate Bridge

You can’t visit this city without seeing the biggest attraction! Boy was it worth it. The time spent around the Golden Gate Bridge was probably my favorite. Why? Tons to see and do and all for FREE. It’s free to walk across the 1.7 mile long bridge. Which gives you killer views of the cities on both sides, Alcatraz, and the Bay Bridge in the distance. It can be very crowded on the bridge but keep walking. People often only walk the first quarter mile and turn around so the beginning is the busiest. When we got half way across there was hardly anyone leaving us to just stand and admire the view.

There are also tons of trails and walkways around the bridge. Some paved, some dirt. Watch out as bikes often are on these walkways too. If you have the time, I highly recommend walking around as the view changes every time and it’s absolutely gorgeous.

Touristy Things

Riding a cable car is a MUST! I recommend jumping on at the starting or ending point as they fill up. There is often a line, that looks insanely long, but the wait was only about 35-40 minutes. It’s $7 for a one-way ticket (Bonus: the ticket is super cute and perfect for scrapbooking/saving for memories). If you jump on downtown at Market, it’ll take you down to Fisherman’s Wharf which is a huge tourist spot. I found it to be so-so. Not a lot to see or do that didn’t cost money. It’s mainly restaurants and museums (like Ripply’s Believe It Or Not). In my eyes, it’s a tourist trap but still worth it to take the cable car down and walk around for a bit!
